Keep the terms clear, positive, and collaborative. Include commitments for parents as well, showing that ethical digital behavior is a shared household value rather than just a set of arbitrary rules enforced from above.
When children feel included in the conversation, they are far more likely to approach you when they encounter confusing outputs, uncomfortable interactions, or mistakes online. Our job is not to build a fortress around our children, but to build a compass within them.
